Pair Of Blue Glazed Earthenware Lamps Dlg Théodore Deck, 19th Century
Very beautiful pair of Louis XVI style baluster-shaped lamps in blue enameled ceramic in the Théodore Deck style.
Each lamp is decorated with large openwork gilt bronze mounts: on either side of each lamp is fixed a large diamond-shaped shield framed by palmettes, loops and plant ornaments that stretches into a rising spiral socket and ends with a frieze of interlacing.
The gilt bronze base is also beautifully worked with four feet: two sphinxes resting on claw feet and two stylized palmette motifs. These old oil lamps have been re-electrified but the spout and the chiseled bronze key have been preserved. The globes are decorated with arabesques engraved on the satin glass.
This pair of lamps can be compared to the productions of Théodore Deck with this intense turquoise blue characteristic of his work. A very beautiful, lively set that will give a touch as colorful as it is classic to your interior.
