Established at 43 Boulevard des Capucines in Paris in 1886 and at 8 Place Vendôme in 1908 under the name Boudet Frères & Cie until 1914, it was one of the most important Parisian retailers of luxury furniture, bronzes, objets d'art, and silverware. The Boudet firm exhibited a stand at the Franco-British Exhibition of 1908 and presented royal furniture such as Marie Antoinette's desk and a copy of Caffieri's fireplace at Fontainebleau. An elegant Louis XVI style oil lamp in gilt and chased bronze on a fluted mahogany stand.
