The decoration is composed of gilded scrolls, a shell and flowers. In the center of the composition is embroidered a figure of Mary Magdalene made separately. This altar frontal probably decorated a chapel of Mary Magdalene, or the high altar on the occasion of her feast day.
Provence circa 1740-60
Period gilded wooden border.
The frame has been modified and doubled to consolidate it
Some visible accidents, in particular a loss at the lower right border not altering the decoration.
