Portrait of an officer in bust of Mr. Penet, artillery captain, 19th century, red piping and facing, gold buttons, epaulette and counter-epaulette in gold braid, he wears the knight's cross of the Order of Saint-Louis and holds in his right hand a summary relating to artillery batteries. Oil on canvas in very good condition, gilded frame. On the back an inscription in pen specifies: Mr. Penet artillery officer, knight of Saint-Louis, born March 21, 1778, painted in 1825 on January 1.
