Full and half hour striking mechanism, ringing a silver bell placed above the timepiece Full signature on the back of the timepiece. Very large, completely original watch with verge escapement system and striking mechanism. Original pendulum with winding key for the movement and a small fine adjustment key on the front of the dial. Enameled dial with blue numerals and entirely original and never restored.
The signature of the maker Etienne Le Noir can be found in the book Watches Francais dictionnaire page 376 He worked in Paris in the period 1772 Image of this mantel clock kept at the Museum of Antiquities in Rouen.
Very beautiful gilded metal case richly decorated with gilded bronze ornaments and statues of a boy and a girl.
