Curiosity Of Tools - Wall Showcase - Popular Blacksmith-locksmith Sign - 19th
Charming locksmith-blacksmith display window
This rare and captivating display case from the end of the 19th / beginning of the 20th century, represents a locksmith-blacksmith's sign, a true homage to the trades of yesteryear. Made of wood with an elegant cornice decorated with scroll patterns in wrought iron and brass,
it exudes a unique and authentic charm. popular work of Artisant.
Inside, it houses a precious collection of 40 miniature, hand-made tools. Among these miniatures, an assortment of iron graters, arranged in the shape of a star, gives a decorative aspect to the whole. In the central part is written the name of the locksmith, accompanied by a miniature brass key, enhanced with an elegant wrought iron winding.
Dimensions: Total height 74 cm - Showcase H 51 x L 34.5 x D 4 cm
Condition: Good general condition, slight oxidation, (the glass slightly cracked at the bottom right (see photos).
This collectible is designed to be hung, bringing a touch of authenticity to an industrial-style interior or a cabinet of curiosities.
