Barend Brouwer (Dutch 1872-1936), oil on canvas, Landscape , signed lower right. Barend Brouwer painted cityscapes and the Dutch landscape with its fields, lush meadows, lakes and forests. A true impressionist, he chose the mood and atmosphere, day and night, summer and winter. Brouwer was already a student of Théophile de Bock in Diepenveen.
