Born in VAALS, in the south-east of Holland in this province of Limburg which through history has so many links with Belgium. Willy BINDELS is known as a painter from Concarneau where he arrived in the 1950s. Coming from Brussels where he had settled in 1948 after the death of his wife, he stopped off in Concarneau on the road to Spain where he wanted to settle. Life decided otherwise since he remained in Brittany until his death, leaving us a large number of his paintings, testimony to an original view of his adopted country.
