Teak Boat Steering Wheel – Late 19th Century
Rudder bar whose wheel has a brass hoop. This ship's wheel is made up of 8 turned wooden spokes and the same number of sleeves, used for maneuvering. In the center the hub is solid and has the hole used to insert the axle called "drive square", which is used to make the connection between the bar and the rudder.
