Antique Umbrella, Napoleon III Period, Silk, Lace, Carved Bone Handle
Antique umbrella. The silk has been changed with a pretty purple silk lined with cream silk. The period lace has been reused. The lower part of the handle is made of bone, the upper part is made of wood, a gold metal ring separates the two parts and allows it to be folded in two. This umbrella can be used. It measures 23,62 inches long, and 18,50 inches in diameter. France, circa 1860.
