Archaic Vase On Greek Motif Pedestal Imitating Porphyre, Cast And Polished Steel, Circa 1860
Important pyramidal pedestal in cast iron and polished steel edges, decorated with a classic frieze with Greek motifs.
The four painted faces show different varieties of red Dysberg porphyry and the cubic base is imitating to the gray Blyberg porphyry.

Our imposing pedestal could advantageously be used to support a large, more exceptional vase in Porphyry or another precious material.

Total height of pedestal and vase 188cm
Height of pedestal alone 140cm
Weight 210kg + vase 60kg
