Henri Deluermoz Cowboy

Cowboy on horseback oil painted on yellow cardboard by Henri Deluermoz. The painting is signed lower right, has some accidents including a scratch at the top and is framed in a wooden frame from the same period. Without a frame, the painting measures 50x51 cm. Henri Deluermoz (1876-1943) studied painting at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, in the studios of Gustave Moreau and Alfred Roll. Renowned for his depictions of animals, he illustrated numerous books and exhibited regularly at the Salons des Artistes Français and in Parisian galleries between the two wars.
