Rare Brass Chandelier, 17th Century

Rare TORCH with tripod base with claw foot supporting the twisted shaft topped with a pommel with balusters and rings, on which the two arms carrying horizontal bobeches and screwed sockets can slide. A tightening screw allows the arms to be immobilized on the shaft at the chosen height. Height: 39.8 cm.
SOUTHERN GERMANY (?), 17th century

In very good condition, however, pitting is reported on the stem and on the bobeches.
Screws allow the complete disassembly of all the elements.
A copy of the same type in wrought iron is kept in Hamburg at the Museum Kunst und Gewerbe
