Antiqie Pair Large Impressive French Bronze Dore 5 Light Cherub Putti Candelabra
A fine true pair of patinated bronze, ormolu and white marble figural Cherub candelabra in excellent condition. Set upon a white marble base, with ormolu beads surrounding the marble. The putti stand upon rocks, holding up the five branch stems, which are stylised as flowers. Beautiful quality and with superb gilding and patination. An identical model but with seated cherubs can be seen in "Les Bronzes du Mobilier National 1800-1870" pp 292, which were made by the firm Deniere & Fils in 1844. These can easily be fitted for electricity if so desired. French circa 1840-50 Size is 26" 61cm High by 12" 30.5cm deep by 12" 30.5cm wide
