Léon Lapar: Antique Claret Jug / Ewer In Sterling Silver And Cut Crystal - Putti Mascaron
Important and spectacular Claret Jug / Ewer in cut crystal with solid silver mounts. Extraordinary decoration with in particular this Mascaron / Bust of a woman in the antique style applied on the pediment, and the lid surmounted by a Putti holding a Cup in one hand and a Bunch of Grapes in the other. Interior of the neck and lid in Vermeil (Gold on Silver). Minerva Hallmark 1st Title (.950) on all parts of this Ewer and Signature in full letters of the Master Goldsmith "L. LAPAR Paris". This important (over 37 cm in height) and spectacular Ewer of very high quality is in excellent condition, also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, and just light signs of use to note. Designed and finely crafted for the finest of tables....
