Richly detailed 15th century Flanders (around 1460) It presents a suggestive burial scene, in the foreground the gravedigger places the deceased entirely wrapped in a shroud. A priest prays next to an acolyte who carries the raised cross, behind them several figures completely in mourning and in the background we can see two ossuaries full of skulls. all surrounded by a beautiful plant border and fantastic animals in exuberant colors. Magnificent example of medieval miniature worthy of a great collection.
