Fossilized Mammoth Tooth/molar

a completely fossilized mammoth molar
The last woolly mammoth disappeared at the end of the Pleistocene, around ten thousand years ago. Climate change, not humans, caused the mammoth's extinction 4,000 to 4,500 years ago. The animals then found less and less grassland, which led to a complete decline in the population.
