"Reliquary Painting Of Saint Mamams Martyr – Late 18th Century"
Saint Mammes of Caesarea (or Mammas, Mamans), whose name means "the one who was breastfed", is a young martyr from the first centuries, born into a modest family and whose martyrdom would have taken place in 275. At the center of a rich montage of silver and gold wire cannetilles, decorated with beads of different colors, we find a notable relic of our Holy Man.
This is a fragment of his occiput.
A Tyrolean work from the end of the 18th century presented in an elegant painted frame with floral motifs.
On the back, ensuring the authenticity of the relic, are five seals of a congregation bearing the arms of three acorns protected by an angel.
Dimensions of 28 cm by 23 and 6 deep
