Mesopotamia, Probably Bronze Age, Rare Bronze Rython Decorated With Deities.
Mesopotamia, probably Bronze Age, around the year 3000 to 1500 BCE, very pretty and unusual bronze rython with a crusty patina, cylindrical in shape flaring towards its top. The rython is decorated with two deities in relief on both sides, wearing horned headdresses and with a posture similar to that of the statues of the Egyptian god Osiris. The body of the rython is decorated with superimposed geometric designs, in light relief. Good quality work in good condition.
Height 12 cm. Width 11.4 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
