Jean Després - Tastevin In Solid Silver - Oenology

Tastevin in 950/000 silver by Jean Després (1889-1980), swan hallmark (control). Probably fashioned by the goldsmith from a French coin. The edge of the drink is decorated with alternating stars and bears the inscription: ''God protect France'' (a motto that is more relevant than ever). The decoration is hammered, the grip ring is decorated with three balls placed underneath, to reinforce the handle. The artist signed with a stylus under the base: ''J.Després''. Very good condition, a few tiny scratches, no shock or dent. Weight 32 gr. Around 1930.
