Richly carved : top decorated with a dragon, openwork swivel shelves and tripod base carved with clawed legs.
Art Nouveau / Japonisme, France, around 1880.
By Gabriel Viardot (1830-1904), famous Parisian cabinetmaker specializing in the production of "Chinese-Japanese style" furniture. He distinguished himself and received several medals at the Universal Exhibitions of 1867, 1878, 1889 and 1900.
