Oilcloth sailor's trunk, mid-19th century. Original and rare sailor's trunk covered in oilcloth. Closure rings, closure slots and side handles in rope always covered with oilcloth to resist the harsh weather of seafaring life and protect the contents. The trunk is a nice size. Very good condition. The bottom is equipped with two wooden crosspieces to distance it from the ground. Very particular and fascinating object, who knows how many seas it has sailed...
