Portrait Of Princess Lameth 1669 French School Of The 17th Century
Artist: Ecole Française Du Xviième
Large oil on oval canvas dating from the 17th century, formerly re-canvased Dimensions 81cm x 65cm plus quality frame 103cm x 87cm It is the representation of a young woman in three-quarter view it is annotated on the painting at the top left Marie de Lameth B.... y wife of Louis Charles Prince of Courtenay January 9, 1669 according to my research this painting was painted on the day of her marriage to Louis Charles I also saw that Hyacinthe Rigaud painted portraits of the family of Courtenay I do not think that it is a work of the Master but perhaps of his entourage or student (I point out that I am not connoisseur of painting of this period) I think that this painting deserves cleaning and review may need to be done again on old restorations, shipping will be free and well packaged for the European Union
