Enamelled earthenware plates with a black background, with Mexican-inspired decoration, signed on the back (Cerenne Vallauris stamp). Trained at the School of Decorative Arts in Nice, Yvonne Maurel is an artist of great dexterity, also a turner and an enameler. She worked for the Cerenne workshop until 1958, the year it closed. In 1959, she founded their own workshop “Lou Pignatié” with her husband Francis Crociani.
