Gilt Bronze Clock “roman Warrior” (charles X, Circa 1830)
Figurative gilt bronze clock with a Roman warrior holding a shield, resting on the dial, with the inscription ‘Pour la plus belle’ (‘For the most beautiful’). Next to him is an altar symbolising conscience. The entire clock is in gilt bronze. Threaded movement. The whole has been professionally cleaned and the movement cleaned and reassembled by a watchmaker. Beautiful striking.
