Small Library Cabinet In Blond Mahogany, Art Deco – 1940
This small library cabinet in blond mahogany opens with three doors mounted on so-called "piano" hinges and equipped with original locks with brass coat of arms entrances accompanied by keys. The side doors with rounded corners feature medallions inlaid with mother-of-pearl, light and dark wood with fanciful patterns. The central part of this piece of furniture, topped with a niche, has a third door with a dark chamfered frame of beveled glass. The interior of this piece of furniture offers three mahogany edged shelves in the center and four shelves with grooves on each side. The whole rests on four slightly flattened ball feet. The recessed top is wood with molding. This cabinet is interesting for its size and refined style. ******** Period: 1940 Excellent condition.
