Portrait of Arbaud de Jouches, oil on canvas dimensions 72 cm x 55.5 cm, with its old carved wooden frame 85 cm x 68 cm, France, period around 1820. The Model appears here decorated with the order of Saint Ferdinand of Spain. Bache Augustin Philippe d'Arbaud de Jouques (17770 - 1831) was a field marshal and honorary gentleman of the household of the bedroom of King Charles X. Born in AIx in Provence, son of the Marquis de Jouques, he came from an ancient Provencal family and died without issue.
