Exceptional and unique painting from a large private collection painted by Federico MOJA, a well-known Italian painter of architecture and vedutes from the 19th century representing the Universal Exhibition of 1862 at the Crystal Palace in London, original oil on canvas with its superb frame. original in fine gilded wood topped with a carved wooden crown. In perfect condition and signed and dated in the middle at the bottom. Of high quality and with an incredible perspective, this painting, unique in the artist's career, represents a view of the Universal Exhibition in London with all the details and a multitude of characters represented characterizing the atmosphere and animation that such an event caused at that time. Masterful work. Born in Milan in 1802, he began his studies at the Brera Academy in Milan in 1818 and became a pupil of Giovanni MIGLIARA, his urban views in perspective and his subjects of a historical nature were his specialty, he made numerous stays in Paris from 1830 to 1834 and in 1841 when his new master, Luigi BIASI, S ETENLI IN Milan, settled in Venice where he was appointed professor of perspective at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1845. he excevutes a good number of Vedutes of Venice and its region with frequent sendings of his works to the Salon of Fine Arts of Milan and to the society Promoter of beautiful Arti di Torino. He was also involved in the decoration of the Palazzo Réal in Venice in 1855.
