Small Window Frame - Late 16th Century Period - Arched Lintel - Circa 1580/1620
Period limestone window frame from the end of the 16th century, the beginning of the 17th century, around 1580/1620
The source is a ruined Renaissance period house near Chaumont in Haute Marne.
Dismantled by us, this limestone window frame presents a harmonious arch advantageously balancing the somewhat severe appearance of the rest of the room.
The relatively small thickness of the uprights of this window will allow daylight to easily enter the room where it will be installed.
This discreet and charming piece of architecture from the end of the Renaissance will perfectly adorn a rubble wall jointed with lime.
The ocher patina of the stone worn from 4 centuries of use will harmonize perfectly with interior lime coatings enhanced with natural pigments.
Interior opening 65 cm high I
nterior width 45 cm wide
The whole measures 82 cm in overall height
and 70 cm in overall width.
The depth is to be inserted into a wall of 25 to 40 cm.
Of course ! Assembly recommended, even required and essential by ethics... with lime!!
All the disassembled parts weigh less than a hundred kilos and can easily be loaded into a car trunk.
