Large still life with peaches and currants, signed Brunel Neuville below, left. Arthur Alfred Brunel de Neuville (1852-1941) is a painter from Paris. He is a member of the Society of French Artists and has taken part in exhibitions since 1879. He became a member in 1907. He is a painter of still lifes, a genre in which he excels at rendering textures. He is also an animal painter, he is known for his representations of cats. It can be found in the museums of Brest, Chateau-Thierry, Béziers and Louviers. Original gilded wood and plaster frame. Small restorations of the canvas (see photos).
