Contemporary binding in full marbled and glazed Havana calf, Jansenist covers, ribbed spine decorated with bold cold fillets, double gilded framing boxes, fleurons and seedlings of small gilded fleurons, old-red morocco title piece, golden title, golden blade at the tail, golden fillet on the cuts, salmon slices. Partly original edition; here increased by the following articles: Gardener's Catechism. Enthusiasm. Persecution. Philosophy. Freedom of thought. Necessary. Common meaning. Tolerance, second part. ''Besides several changes and increases in the body of the work; we thank the Author.'' (in Warning).
