Large miniature by Jacques-Marie Legros (? - 1828) dating from 19th century. Signed Legros in red on the right side. Portrait of a pretty young woman draped in a red shawl. The work is surrounded by brass engraved with a motif of palmettes in a tinted magnifying glass frame. An old fabric, perhaps silk, is applied to the back of the frame. The curved glass is original, this miniature has never been opened. Beautiful female bust representation with a sought-after aesthetic. The facial features are particularly well rendered, the hair is treated with care and numerous details. Charles X period (1824-1830). Beautiful fresh condition.
