Model created in 1864 at the request of Napoleon III for the National Archeology Museum of Saint Germain-en-Laye. Old edition font. Late 19th century. Emmanuel FREMIET (1824 - 1910) famous sculptor of the second half of the 19th century, known for his equestrian statues and animal subjects (Saint George slaying the dragon, Joan of Arc on horseback, Grand Condé...).
