China, first half of the 20th century, very pretty pair of temple guardian lions in polychrome reconstituted stone powder. The posture of the subjects on high bases and the quality of execution give the subjects a beautiful, unusual aesthetic. The harmony of colors in tones of black, gold and red enhances the beauty of the pieces.
