Plate with mythological motif, in cobalt blue and white royal Vienna porcelain, Austria circa 1900, hand painted and titled Ariadne, signed Nasse. Arieadne is the daughter of Pasiphae and King Minos of Crete. She is best known for the role she played in helping Theseus defeat the Minotaur and escape the twisting labyrinth beneath the palace of Knossos in Crete. Stamping number to be deciphered, partially worn gold, diameter: approximately 23 cm, traces of age, even photos.
