"Herend Porcelain Coffee Service, Queen Viktoria Pattern, 15 Pieces."
Herend porcelain coffee service, Queen Viktoria pattern, 15 pieces. The Hungarian Herend manufactory owes its fame to the particular beauty and uniqueness of its numerous hand-decorated services. Fischer Mor's "Victory" decoration made the manufactory famous throughout the world in the early 1850s. Yellow, red, blue, and purple roses, butterflies, and other small insects make up this oriental-inspired yet Hungarian-style decoration, which was a huge success at the 1851 London World's Fair. In addition to the gold medal awarded by the jury, the recognition is also due to the fact that Queen Victoria of England herself, after whom the service is named, commissioned the "Butterfly" service for Windsor Castle. It consists of 6 pair of cups, a coffee pot, a sugar bowl, and a milk jug. Dimensions: Cups: 6 cm by 6 cm. Saucer: diameter: 14 cm Coffee pot: 21 cm by 13 cm. Sugar bowl: 11 cm by 7 cm. Milk jug: 8 cm by 7 cm. Very good condition. A superb model, chic and colorful. Note: a dinner service and a tea service of the same model are for sale in other advertisements.
