Gia Lai and Kon Tum .. their language belongs to the Malayo-Polynesian group of Austronesian languages . as they have no written history . little is known before the arrival of the French in the 19th century .. this long loincloth for men is a rare and unusual piece . woven on a strap loom in a single continuous strip of durable cotton . the fabric is dyed a deep indigo . bordered on each side with red, white, blue and green stripes .. it is very careful quality work. on each side .. a finely woven band ending with a row of Jobs tears and long fringes ..
