Terracotta, partially glazed, height 34.5 cm
Two very good quality ancient Chinese, late Ming dynasty, terracotta male and female attendant figures, dating to circa 1550-1650. Shown in the period dress of the day and with much colour and original glase still remaining, these are wonderful period statues. Very beautifully modelled facial expressions with much character and individuality.
A few small damages and old restoration.
