Emile Gallé Flying Table

Beautiful tray table signed Emile GALLÉ with hazel leaf decoration. The quality of the marquetry is exceptional, due to the variety of species and the complexity of their arrangement and its base is in oak. It measures 74cm in height, 50 cm in width and 30 cm deep. This elegant table in remarkable condition, in Art Nouveau style, is composed entirely of beautiful wood and inlaid floral designs that most connoisseurs will immediately recognize as typical of Gallé. What is less typical is the "burnt" maker's mark, but this maker's mark is certainly that of the great master himself and we also found this same "table top" in one of the books that we own on Emile Gallé. Thanks to the elegance and beauty of its patinas, this rare one-piece Gallé table is a real pleasure for the eyes and the hands. It is very stable, there is no damage on the table or on the marquetry, in very good condition. You can use this piece as a drinks display, as a support for your china or photo frames, but also as a telephone table. This incredibly rare antique will never fail to impress.
