Bonnard - Drawing 1930 - Fruits - Study For Painting flag

Object description :

"Bonnard - Drawing 1930 - Fruits - Study For Painting"
Lovely drawing by BONNARD who has placed an assortment of fruits (apple, orange, etc.) in the center of the composition, in front of a balcony and a suggested landscape in the background.

*** After research, we finally discovered that this drawing was made in 1930 and was a study for a larger format gouache and watercolor that is in the collections of the LOUVRE museum, entitled "Dark Harmony" (see last photo)

*** This drawing was presented by the prestigious New York gallery FINDLAY GALLERIES at the "Master drawings New-York" fair from 01-26-2019 to 02-02-2019

Pierre BONNARD's drawings of this quality are rare on the market, many of them small sketches executed quickly, sometimes even on the pages of notebooks. An excellent opportunity to acquire one of the greatest French painters of the 20th century !
