"Pair Of Cruets In Gilt Silver, France Circa 1819-1838"
Pair of cruets with gilded silver lids with circular ogee feet and embossed ovoid bodies on which a different guilloche decoration is chiseled on each of them. On the wine cruet: vines with bunches of grapes in relief and on the water cruet: bouquets of rushes. The spout is flared and has high curved edges. The attached handle has a vegetal winding. The lid socket is shaped like a pawn. France, Lyon circa 1819-1838 950/1000 silver, title hallmark head of "old lady" Height: 14.5 cm Foot: 4.9 cm Weight: 207 gr Good condition, perfectly waterproof Note: a dent on the part top of the cove
