Moynat Damier Mail Trunk

Large "mail" trunk from Maison Moynat Paris with a brass frieze perforated with red pastilles on the belt. Entirely in its original juice: • with its original checkered canvas • its jewelry (lock, clasps, brackets, corners, nails, etc.) is in solid brass • The slats are in beech • The barrel is in poplar • The typically recognizable loops of Moynat trunks The trunk is in fair used condition but requires restoration to make it brand new. Note the presence of numerous transport labels torn off, 2 fixing nails are missing from the large central lock plate, the covering and the interior shelving are missing, there are numerous traces of wear as well as friction in the center of the plateau. height 48.5cm length 68cm depth 45cm
