Origin: Michel de Alvis workshop bottom Michel de Alvis was born in Montmartre in 1933 where he grew up and frequented the artistic world of the time. His work is inspired by both nature and the cities visited during his travels, mainly around the Mediterranean. His incisive and generous painting is part of the post-war pictorial movements led by Claude Venard in particular, whose friend he was. He exhibited all over the world, in France, Spain, Japan, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Africa, Switzerland, from 1959 to 2015.
