A pair of fô dogs holding incense sticks or wands, in sancai enameled stoneware. The term “sancai” designates a type of Chinese ceramic whose decorations feature polychrome glazes of three or more colors. The sancai ceramic technique dates back to the Tang dynasty (17th – 20th century).
