"2 Small Bronze Dogs By Victor Chemin (1825-1901)"
The 1st little dog is fixed on a black marble base (slight shock) on which we can see, at the back, the first initials of Chemin. The dog is sitting and playing with a round snail! Price: 320 euros. The 2nd little dog, without visible signature, on a bronze base only, is in an attitude that is familiar to us: he bites his back in search of the flea that bites him!! Price: 195 euros. The 2 dogs have a medal patina. They are visible in Pierre Kjellberg's book: "The bronzes of the 19th century" Victor Chemin was the student of Barye père.
