Hsp Signed By Marandon De Montyel And Dated 1848 “le Moulin”

Country landscape, very green. In the foreground, a river and a mill....On the edge of the river, a couple and a child. The author of this landscape is Ferdinand Marandon de Montyel. Born in Bordeaux in 1782, died in Paris in 1854. He exhibited at the Salon from 1834 and until 1853, landscapes of Lozère, the banks of the Tarn, of the Cévennes and the surrounding area of Bordeaux. His paintings are kept by several museums: Bordeaux, Guéret, Aix--en-Provence, Orléans and at the Comédie Française museum in Paris. This painting is dated 1848. The framing is not original but, if you wish, you can recover it.
