Large Wall Cartel In Gilded And Chiseled Bronze From The Louis XVI Period

Large wall cartel in gilded and chiseled bronze from the Louis XVI period, known as "Au Muffle de Lion" or "Au Lion de Némée". Based on a model by Charles Delafosse, this Cartel is entirely in the Neo-Classical Style of the end of the 18th century. The top in the shape of a draped urn, the sides with pilasters with rams' heads at the top, topped with fire pots. Greek nets decorate the top of the dial, pine cones and laurel garlands decorate the whole. The dial is large, in enamel, with very beautiful bronze hands, nicely chiseled.
The numbers are in Roman numerals. The wire movement is from the Louis XVI period, the brass gong, the pendulum is original and we have the key. Completely overhauled, this Cartel is in perfect working order.
