Pair Of Capodimonte Porcelain Planters From The 19th Century. flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Capodimonte Porcelain Planters From The 19th Century."
Pair of spectacular flowerpots from Capodimonte in the form of two potted vases. Each piece is decorated with a central cartouche on the theme of the grape harvest, animated by intoxicated putti celebrating earthly happiness. Under these cartridges (different on the front and back) two other cartouches wrapped in arabesques represent gods and terrestrial creatures participating in the same feasts on land and sea... The vases are decorated with twisted handles of green and gold foliage pattern unfolding on the body of the vase. Under each handle an imposing sculpture represents a mermaid opening her arms. On either side of the mermaids is a mask representing a bearded man surrounded by a crown of bunches of grapes. Rich ornamentation of colored beads, foliage typical of the Capodimonte style. On the inside of the neck of the vase, a gold and black plant decoration outlines its outline. Exceptional condition (no missing or cracks)
