Small painting presenting 3 kittens with clever blue eyes playing in an emblazoned cup, placed on a table, a bottle in the background bears a “writing fluid” label and one of the kittens sports a small ribbon in the colors of France, at the bottom right the date 1859.
This scene is on its original canvas, stamp of the house J. Berville 29 rue de la Chaussée d'Antin in Paris. A pendant to this table, on sale on our Proantic page, allows you to make a pair.
Miss Aïta de la Penuela is an artist from Havana who settled in France in the 19th century. She was a student of Rosa Bonheur, whose genre she adopted.
