Strange painting made in pastel signed lower right "Anna Vengel" and dated 1867. The painting presents a monkey attached to a chain being caught slipping its paw into a lady's box from which a necklace of beads as well as sewing materials. Very beautiful achievement and real curiosity. Good general condition with slight traces of friction. Interesting format 64/46cm
